Coinciding with the recent commemoration of International Women's Day (March 9) and World Water Day (March 24), GPRBA has developed a toolkit to support project teams seeking to address gender inequalities in water service provision through results-based financing. Additional toolkits are available to mitigate gender disparities in energy, education and urban projects (including solid waste management and land tenure security). These useful resources can help guide development practitioners to identify the desired outcomes and outputs at a project concept stage, so that the program design, components and actions are directly related to closing any identified gender gaps (see toolkits below) .

This previous feature story describes how results-based financing has contributed to gender equality in water, sanitation, energy and education through its various projects.
